Coming Up In Our 2026-27 Season

The Trust’s upcoming season promises to be its strongest and most varied yet. We will be presenting piano trios by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven as well as quartets played on period instruments; some of these events as part of our Burney 300 celebrations. We look forward to welcoming The Urban Folk Quartet for a change of pace, as well as the David Gordon Trio, who specialise in jazz/classical fusion. The much-loved Carduccis will return with a concert celebrating the 80th birthday of American minimalist Philip Glass plus an all-Beethoven event celebrating the 200th anniversary of his death. The season will conclude with Ex Cathedra joining His Majesty’s Sagbutts and Cornetts in a gala concert honouring Jeffrey Skidmore, a hugely admired friend of SMT who will be retiring in 2027.
