Atéa Quintet

The foremost British wind quintet of their generation

Their programme will include pieces by Poulenc and Mozart arranged for wind quintet as well as works by Reicha, Briccialdi, Mike Mower (‘Jazz Suite’) and Valerie Coleman (‘Tzigane’).

Made up of Alena Walentin (flute), Anna Hashimoto (clarinet), Ashley Myall (bassoon), Chris Beagles (horn) and Philip Haworth (oboe), Atéa Quintet is the foremost British wind quintet of their generation. Internationally acclaimed, they were double prize winners at the 2015 Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition in Denmark. As the Ensemble in Residence at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and former Quintet in Residence at the Purcell School, they mentor some of the finest up-and-coming musicians in the country.
